Bagels and Brains

So last night I made bagels. They came out rather on the small side, but they are quite enjoyable. My food making obsession is continuing at a rapid pace. I expect within five years I will be trying to grow nearly everything myself so that I can handle any and all processing. If I had a reliable source of fresh milk here I would already be making cheese.

Did I mention that I plan on keeping bees? That's right I'm going to keep bees.

Evidently there are people who think that I am brilliant. They do not think this because I came up with a Grand Unified Theory in physics or anything actually brilliant. They think this because I can point out obvious things such as possible definition of the word exception. There have been other instances but basically it comes down to me pointing out simple things and they react as though I had cured cancer. The worst part is when they ask me how I know these things. Sadly they do not want to get into a discussion of how one comes to know things. They are seriously asking how I figured out totally obvious things.

I really don't know what to do with this sort of thing. I could laugh but then I would have to explain the joke and then I would never get any work done.
